As the very first post on this page I would like to have everyone get to know me as the owner and the purpose of this endeavor. I am a father of 2 kids, one small girl and one young man. Both are the absolute pride of my life and I live every day to better them. I am also an Infantry veteran who served in GWOT as well as a variety of private security positions post military. After acknowledging some severe injuries I began studying personal training and nutrition, which developed into a new profession for a handful of years creating an excellent basis for activities and cooking as a father. When my son was a young child he was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome (back when that was still the term used) and not long after I also received the same diagnosis as an adult. So, for roughly 15+ years I have studied ASD to assist my son’s development, my personal stability, and outreach to the autism community. As a veteran, I have TBI/PTSD diagnoses from my time overseas and have spent many years helping in that community where I can as well. What is the purpose of sharing all of this? Well, over time I have observed so many overlaps in all of these experiences and communities. So many people who are searching for the same kind of support and information without realizing the larger group that they all encompass. Veteran dads that are looking for firearms reviews are also single dads looking for family recipes for dinner. Parents of autistic kids seeking developmental support are also looking for ideas and guides of how to volunteer in the community. Adults, teens, and kids of any category are looking for projects to self develop or simply learn and be entertained. These examples and so much more will be explored here. I will take my experiences thus far and start a journey to expand in every direction and leave breadcrumbs for any interested to follow and/or begin their own unique path. Warrior Aspie’s foundations are development, community growth, and engagement with any/all. I hope you enjoy what you find.
